SAVE ON HAND WARMERS
December 16th 2010 22:39
You know those somewhat pricey, little hand warmers that
you shake to activate and then slip inside a glove or a
boot to help ward off the cold?
There's a simple way to get more than one day of use out
of each pair that you use.
Say after a session out in the cold weather enjoying your
favorite activity or using on the job perhaps, you find yourself
in no further need of your hand warmers.
Rather than tossing them in the trash, place them in a small
ziplock sandwich bag. Seal the bag as best you can and remember
where you store it.
The next day, remove your hand warmers from the ziplock
bag, shake them to reactivate and you are good to go for another
half day or so of warmth.
I've found most decent hand warmers on the market are good for
two days, rather than only one--if you use my ziplock bag
technique.
