SAVE ON GAS/SHOP WITH A FRIEND

January 25th 2011 22:59
Once again the commodity traders and oil companies are
hosing us at the gas pumps. Getting mad yet? Tired of
spending your hard-earned cashola on petrol literally
watered down with low-quality, moisture-laden ethanol?

Time to cut demand for this low-quality, inflation packed
product by considering doing weekly shopping errands
with a friend.

Simply call a friend or perhaps a neighbor who you think
my be interested in sharing the commute expenses to the
grocery store on a given day of the week.

Travel to together and split the cost of the petrol.

Don't forget to drop by the new electric car dealer lots
to shop around.

CAREFUL WITH INFLATIONARY SPIRAL

January 20th 2011 22:20
Anyone who shops in North America can sense we are in,
yet another, upward inflationary spiral. One where devalued
US and Canadian dollars chase fewer commodities and
real hard goods.

Fill your tank lately? Buy groceries?

Enough said on macro-economic theory. Let's focus on
beating the rip-off the consumer cycle here, the one
practiced by greedy corporations.

First and Foremost: change your shopping habits. By that,
we mean taking the time and making the effort to shop-around,
either by phone, web or on two legs.
a) consider purchasing staples like bread, milk and eggs in

warehouse clubs or even Walmart rather than the chain
supermarket.
b) pay close attention to the prices week-to-week.

Sale circulars. Pay attention to the loss leader items and
stock up on them.
a) caveat--don't let perishables spoil. Use them up.

Need Clothing for the kids or yourself? Consider dropping
by "thrift" or second-time-around consignment stores. While
there, drop off stuff you'll never wear again for a tax deduction.

Home vegetable gardening. Never done it? Try it, you'll like
it and save big in the process. No land? Flower pots work well
indoors for lettuce and other greens. You're paying for heat and
lights anyway right?

Just a few strategies we use here at Bargain-Value. Hope they
help you save $$$ as well!!!

REBATE ON INK CARTRIDGES

January 6th 2011 23:17
If you live somewhat near a Staples office supply store,
you can get US$2 back for every spent printer ink
cartridge you drop off with the cashier.

You don't even have to had bought the ink cartridge at Staples.
Any beat cartridge will do.

To get involved with this deal, sign up at any Staples for
their "Rewards Card." Bring cartridges in, flash the card
and you're done.

You can recycle up to 10 per month. Every sixty days or
so you will receive a Staples credit voucher for the number
of cartridges X $2 you turned in. The voucher can be used
for any purchase in their stores.

Kinda of a nice, easy deal.
