Bargain Value - April 2011

TIME TO SAVE ON EASTER CANDY

April 26th 2011 21:16
Yes folks, once again it's that time of year--apres Easter
Day--to save big time on bunny rabbit related candy and
accessories.

Whether you have a sweet tooth or you just to stock pile
Easter candy for next year, now is the time to save big!

Most of the chain stores in North America are itching to
clear out their Easter branded candies from their shelves.
Expect discounts of at least 50% off the pre-holiday asking
price.

Wait a week or so and the prices may be slashed as much
as 75%!

We all known, in this inflationary spiral, that the price for

Easter basket stuff will be higher next year. To keep candy
somewhat fresh, store it in a freezer or low-temp place in
your home.

BEWARE CVS PHARMACY PRICING

April 20th 2011 21:48
If you happen to shop at the U.S based, CVS pharmacy chain,
beware of their pricing. What you select from the shelf, at the
price indicated, may ring up at a much higher price at the register.

This has happened to me, not once, not twice but a multitude
of times at their stores. If not for my price awareness sense,
I would have paid the inflated price and walked out with my
purchase.

Each time, I'm forced to send the hapless register person back
to check the shelf price, they invariably offer up this lame
excuse, "it must have rung up wrong."

Well, gee thanks, you used cost me an extra seven minutes of
my valuable time today. Can't you fix your faulty pricing
computer systems!!!!

The moral of this true story boys & girls is the next time you
find yourself shopping at CVS, or any store for that matter,
bring a small notepad with you to jot down the shelve price
with the register receipt price before you settle your purchase.

Time consuming? Yes? Money-saving? Of course it is.

SAVE ON CAR RENTALS

April 8th 2011 10:29
There's a new site which will not only find you the
lowest price rental car available at your pick-up
location but also book the reservation for you.

And get this: if the price drops, or a better deal comes
up, between booking time and your pick-up,
AutoSlash.com will automatically rebook the lower
price for you.

The site automatically applies all available coupon
codes to your rental.

The only caveat, be aware of all those creative
ripoff taxes applied to your rental by airports,
states, counties, towns and any other cash-strapped
entity that wants a piece of the pie. They easily
add over US$10 per day to the rental price.

The taxing philosophy seems to be: soak the tourist
with taxes, they can't vote in our county.
