CONTRARIAN SEASONAL SHOPPING
November 19th 2009 20:46
'Tis the season to forget about purchasing over priced holiday season
gifts. Hopefully, you've been gift shopping all the year round for
sale priced gifts and stowing them away for December.
However, if you haven't stockpiled your gift cache for people on your
list at rock bottom prices by now, there is still hope.
Instead of buying traditional holiday season gifts, consider buying
items that are off season priced at the moment, like lawn and
garden tools and equipment for instance.
There's no law written on the books that states you can't give
Uncle Joe a nice new electric powered lawn mower, or presenting
Aunt Kate with that wonderful new handy weed puller implement
on December 25th, now is there?
Lawn and garden items are just one "for instance" of contrarian
seasonal shopping destined to save you big bucks on your careful
purchases. How about BBQ grills? Patio furniture? Pool supplies.
Check with local bricks and mortar retailers, online and your favorite
catalog merchants. All these people want to move summer
merchandise out the door to make room for all that holiday
season nonsense like blow-up giant Santa Clauses, terrible tasting
fruitcakes and rip off chessy plastic toys to cite just a few items.
Think out of the traditional gift "box" to save big this year!
