EVERYTHING HAS A RE-USE
September 6th 2009 16:08
Almost everything you purchase has a useful second life,
if you think creatively. Think of all the products that people
throw away without thought about how they can be re-used
around the home.
Here at Bargain-value.com "Everything has a "Re-use,"
will be a new, regular feature appearing from time to time.
Take for instance the common 32 ounce plastic juice
bottle. What can be done with this long-lived container
other than recycling or tossing it in the trash?
If you own a pool, a 32 ounce or larger plastic juice
bottle can be recreated as a chlorinator, a floating
device which distributes chlorine or bromine in the
water.
It takes all of five minutes to make a juice bottle
chlorinator. Take an electric drill with a modestly
sized drill bit attached.
Drill four holes on all four sides of the bottle. Fill
the bottle with chlorine or bromine tablets. Replace
the bottle cap and toss it into your pool.
Within minutes the bottle will take on water but its
positive buoyancy will keep it a float. Meanwhile
the pool's water jets will circulate the bottle around
the pool--slowly dispensing chlorine in its travels.
Of course, you can add more than one juice bottle
chlorinator to your pool. When it's time for a swim,
you simply pull the juice bottle chlorinators out of
the water.
Have you found other new uses for plastic juice
bottles?
