HOLY CASKETS!

No, this is not a line of dialogue from the next Batman movie.
It is however a good source of fairly priced, top quality and
yes, holy caskets one can purchase directly from Trappist
Monks in Iowa.
Almost all Benedictine monastic communities operate some
sort of business to support themselves, whether it be
candle making, farming, baking, jam preparation or even
operating breweries and wineries.
A rather unique monastic enterprise is conducted by the
brothers of the New Melleray Abbey, a cloistered community
of Trappist monks in Peosta, Iowa. The brothers make
handmade caskets of oak and walnut from lumber they
harvest on their land.
Prices range from US$975 for a simple oak casket to
US$2650 for their premium walnut casket with many
models in between to choose from. They even make
an exclusive line of Notre Dame University caskets and
for alumni and their families.
Of course no one what's to think about purchasing caskets
and urns, but the unescapable reality is: at some point in
our lives we all have to select one for a departed loved one
or on a pre-need basis for ourselves.
The brothers of New Melleray are able to get one of their
caskets to your place of need, usually within one to two
business days. They even offer a pre-need purchase option
where one can pay for caskets at today's prices (including
shipping costs) and have it delivered when needed.
