Tis the season of grapefruits, oranges, tangerines and hybrid
citrus fruits hitting the North American marketplaces. Of course,
it's also the run-up to flu season, so eating at least one fresh
piece of citrus fruit per day will go a long way strengthening

We have two major choices during citrus buying season: we
can overpay or score deals.
For convenience, buying say a single grapefruit in the supermarket
is tempting, but look at the price compared to buying a bulk bag
full of these guys. A major difference per unit cost indeed.

supermarket or urban green grocer, consider checking in with
your local wholesale produce dealer. These outfits typically
supply restaurants and institutional feeding outlets with the
produce they need in case lots.

to the general public in case lots. Granted a case of grapefruits
is quite a bit for a small household to devour, but...a case can
be split among friends or relatives.
