SAVE ON GASOLINE
October 7th 2009 18:40
Interested in saving money on over-priced gasoline that
you have to buy from the greedy oil companies to keep
your vehicle fueled? Read on.
1. Buy it on a Monday morning for the week ahead
whenever you again. Many stations lower their
inflated prices after the weekend leisure travel
market is over. And, on Mondays, many
stations have unadvertised "gas sale days."
2. When traveling, try to avoid the stations right off
the highway exit ramp. Try stopping in a fast food
joint and ask the kid behind the counter where the
lowest price gas can be found.
3. Shop at supermarket chain stores that have a discount
gas program with branded gasoline stations like Shaws
with Irving and Price Chopper with Sunoco. Usually the
payoff is: spend US$50 in the supermarket/ save 10 cents
per gallon at the pump. It's cumulative so the payoff is
worth it if you shop frugally.
4. If the price of gas is inflated one week due to the greed of
commodities traders, only purchase the absolute minimum
that you need. Try not to "fill her up."
Hope these tips are of use. Do you have any gas buying tips
to share?
