SAVE ON NURSERY PLANTS

October 9th 2009 17:19
As the autumn days get cooler and consumers' thoughts turn
from gardening, most garden centers and plant nurseries
deeply discount their plant stock right about now. Expect
to see discounts ranging from 25 to 75 percent on shrubs,
trees, annuals, perennials potting soil and fertilizers this
time of year in the northern climates.

Doesn't hurt to drop your local garden center to see what
they have deeply discounted. Fall is good time to plant
shrubs and trees before the ground freezes in early
winter.

If you don't like the price for a particular plant, try asking

the garden center owner or manager what their bottomline
price is on the item.

Remember many plants will grow well indoors and offer
welcome color and perhaps produce vegetables during the
winter months.
