SAVE ON SHAVING
August 12th 2010 12:27
If you like a high quality razor blade for shaving but balk at
paying full retail markup, there are ways to save without
sacrificing quality.
The so called "razor blade business model" is that the
major razor blade corporations will sell you your first
refillable razor and a few blades at a relatively low
price and then hit you up hard for the refill blades.
Here's a few tips to beat them at their game:
1) Check for closeout razor blade products at supermarket
chains. Many times you'll find they want to move razors
that don't sell out the door at a low price.
2) Get on the Gillette website. You can sign up for a fist full
of coupons.
3) Shick runs rebate offers on their website from time to time.
There's one currently running until August 18, 2010.
4) Buy your blades in large bulk packages at warehouse
stores like Costco, BJs, Sam's Club, etc.
5) And of course, watch the Sunday papers and your local
stores for shaving products coupons.
