'Twas the day before Thanksgiving and all through supermarket aisles,
shoppers faces were filled with smiles.
For all noble turkeys soon to be slices
had drastically low prices.
But one must ask in checkout lines exceedingly slower,
can my turkey be had for a price even lower?
For the answer is "Yes" one must rejoice,
alas first one must raise her voice.
A supermarket manager first must be found,
to show competitors' lower prices are sound.
"Good sir, Acme Market's price can you match?
If not, the first bus I must catch."
To shop where the turkey deal is indeed the best,
"Good sir, I do not jest!
Lower my bird price and I will buy your yams,
and perhaps as well a suckling ham.
"Thank you good sir for seeing the economic light,
to keep my business in your sight."
To one and to I all I must say,
wishing you a blessed and joyous Thanksgiving day!
