SQUEEZE THE LAST DROP OUT
August 11th 2009 11:24
Let's face it. Name brand dish soap is not cheap. You know, those 38 fluid ounce bottles
of green soap you keep by the kitchen sink.
Have you ever noticed that it's seemingly impossible to get that last quarter ounce of liquid
soap out of the bottle? You could simply toss it in the recycle bin and pop the top on
a new bottle of this stuff, but how about this instead:
Before tossing the nearly depleted bottle of dish soap, take the top off of both the old
and new bottles. Place the old bottle atop the topless new bottle. Forget about it
for the rest of the day. Go off to work and by the time you return home, the old bottle
will now really be empty and you will have recovered at least a quarter ounce of
liquid dish soap to put into dish washing service.
If you really want to absolutely squeeze out that last micro-ounce of soap, after draining the old
bottle, add an ounce of water, replace the top and shake the hell out of the bottle. You'll
have gained at least enough soap to wash your hands with.
Hey, I know this is being cheap but that's why this blog is called
EL CHEAPO! Think how much money you'll save on dish soap if you use
this tip over ten years time.
